Day 1 – Arrival in Colombo and Transfer to Trincomalee
Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred to the beautiful eastern coast of Sri Lanka. Your destination is Trincomalee, a coastal gem known for its stunning beaches, rich history, and vibrant culture. Spend the afternoon unwinding by the golden sands or exploring the local surroundings at your own pace, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this seaside paradise.
Day 2 – Discovering Trincomalee
Today is dedicated to exploring the wonders of Trincomalee. Visit the ancient Koneswaram Temple, perched dramatically atop Swami Rock, offering breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. Wander through the historical Fort Frederick and stroll along the pristine shores of Nilaveli Beach. Trincomalee is also known for its clear blue waters, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling and whale watching during the season. Relax and enjoy the coastal charm before continuing your island adventure.
Day 3 – Trincomalee to Sigiriya
After breakfast, leave the coast behind as you head inland to Sigiriya, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic cultural sites. The day invites you to explore the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an architectural marvel. Climb the ancient rock citadel to admire its world-famous frescoes, marvel at the ingenuity of its ancient gardens, and revel in sweeping panoramic views from the summit. Day 4 – Sigiriya to Kandy
This morning, depart Sigiriya and make your way towards the historic city of Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site nestled among lush green hills. Along the way, you may choose to visit a traditional spice garden. Upon arrival in Kandy, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, which houses one of the most venerated objects in the Buddhist world. Day 5 – Kandy to Nuwara Eliya
After a leisurely breakfast, set off on a scenic drive through rolling tea plantations and mist-covered mountains to reach Nuwara Eliya, affectionately known as “Little England.” This charming town retains a colonial atmosphere with its quaint cottages, manicured gardens, and cool climate. Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya to Ella
Today, continue your adventure with a journey to the picturesque town of Ella, often described as one of the most beautiful places in Sri Lanka. Along the way, witness stunning waterfalls and lush green valleys. In Ella, you can visit the famous Nine Arches Bridge, trek to Little Adam’s Peak, or just relax amidst the serene surroundings. Day 7 – Ella to Colombo
