Nine Arches Bridge in Ella

The Nine Arches Bridge, also known as the “Bridge in the Sky,” is one of the most iconic landmarks in Ella, Sri Lanka. Built during the British colonial era, this stunning railway bridge is admired not only for its historical significance but also for its incredible engineering constructed entirely from stone and bricks without the use of steel.

Nestled in a lush green valley, the bridge spans 91 meters in length and stands 24 meters tall, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding forest, tea plantations, and rolling hills. The peaceful setting and dramatic architecture make it a favorite spot for photography and sightseeing.
